Wild Blue Animal Rescue and Sanctuary Provides Homes for Cats in Need!

Rescue Expert Blog

Wild Blue Animal Rescue and Sanctuary has been serving the Colorado Springs area since 2010, providing care, treatment, and loving homes for cats and kittens in need. With an expansive foster care program, kitten therapy programs for teens and seniors, volunteer opportunities, and spay and neutering services for surrounding Veterinary Hospitals and low-income families, they are committed to serving their community and the cats and kittens that call Colorado Springs, home.

Wild Blue Animal Rescue and Sanctuary is also a part of the Million Cat Challenge, a campaign designed to help shelters in saving one million cats from being euthanized in North America, over a five-year period. The goal is to provide shelters with resources and tools to help them care for their feline patients and find them their forever homes.

Wild Blue Animal Rescue adopts out 500-700 cats a year to caring families. They are a no-kill shelter that take sick cats with infections and communicable diseases. They desperately need cleaning supplies to keep sickness, URI, and viral infections at a manageable level. Your donation would help immensely and defer funds to costly veterinary bills. Saving kitties is this shelters number one priority.- Jen

Wild Blue Animal Rescue and Sanctuary relies on the surrounding community to continue to care for cats and kittens who have been, “abandoned, abused, neglected, displaced or surrendered.” They are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit who rely on donations and volunteers but are always looking to do more for felines in need. Wild Blue provided support to families and animal organizations after hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma devastated Texas and Florida earlier this year.

This year I became a foster for Wild Blue Animal Rescue & Sanctuary. I was introduced to your products by my foster coordinator. They use your products at the Sanctuary and throughout their foster homes. This summer Wild Blue had a litter of kittens that had panluek and none survived. It was heartbreaking, but also left the foster with having to clean and sanitize everything in her kitten room. Rescue was our go to disinfectant for everything. Wild Blue took in 51 cats and kittens from Hurricaine Harvey, many of which were infected with Ringworm. Once again we have been going through tons of Rescue disinfectant trying to keep it from spreading. Rescue is used every day by the Wild Blue folks to provide a clean and disinfected environment for all our cats and kittens. This donation of Rescue would be a huge thing for this small non-profit that is trying to Save Precious Lives! every day. I hope you select Wild Blue. They truly deserve this grant.– Joyce

Wild Blue believes that every cat should have the chance to live a better life. As part of this philosophy, Wild Blue is doing their best to prevent and eliminate euthanasia of treatable and saveable animals. Every feline that enters Wild Blue receives the best treatment and care possible, quickly becoming a safe and welcoming temporary or permanent home for cats and kittens.

Wild Blue takes in strays, abandoned, hoarded and abused kitties. These sweet littles come from rough backgrounds, often bringing things we rather now have in the shelter or foster homes. Things like ringworm, ear mites, various viruses and dreaded panluekopenia. Disinfectants help us be able to better protect the other kitties in our care and help the infected ones to have an environment with less pathogens in it. This helps Wild Blue save even more lives by helping current kitties be healthy and get adopted and make room for more :)- Lori
