Fredericksburg Regional SPCA Knows the Spirit of Giving This Season

Rescue Expert Blog

Over the past several months, we have been accepting nominations from individuals across the country, to help shelters in their communities win the #RescueMyShelter Kit. Staff members, volunteers, adopters and supporters have sent pictures and incredible messages to us, and we have been overwhelmed with the work that these shelters are doing for animals and pet owners. The Fredericksburg Regional SPCA is one such shelter that has received our #RescueMyShelter Kit, and here’s why!

We as a community count on Fredericksburg SPCA to love and care for our (momentarily) homeless pets. They are a group of amazing individuals who truly care about the wayward animals who are trusted, even if briefly, to their care. I take pride in financially supporting this wonderful shelter as often as I am able. I can’t do as much as I’d like and this is why I’m nominating them.

Keeping the pets and the facility safe and clean is all a part of loving these sweet little souls until they find their forever homes, which is why I’m nominating this group of fantastic individuals.- Jennifer

The Fredericksburg Regional SPCA works to provide care and to find loving homes for pets in their community. Their staff operates under the firm belief that every pet that enters into their shelter is to be loved and cared for, just as a loving pet owner would do while providing veterinary care to restore the health and wellness of each animal!

Helping all animals are their objective everyday and they need help with their cleaning supplies. They are in need for cleaners that are not harmful to any of the animals they help. They help all animals not just in the community but over many states. They help and speak for the furbabies!- Deborah

As a private humane organization, the Fredericksburg Regional SPCA does not receive government funding for their work, requiring them to rely on donations and volunteers! Over the course of the year, their team saves the lives of many homeless animals, and provides exceptional care to 400 cats and dogs on a daily basis!

Adopted this lovable Am Staffordshire mix in July. The staff were so helpful, friendly & patient in addressing our needs as well as Midnights (now known as HarleyQuinn)- Stephanie

Adopted my sweet girl from there. They are a strong presence in our community and all the help they can get they deserve!- Maryanne

The Fredericksburg Regional SPCA has been using Rescue® Veterinary Disinfectants to create a clean, comfortable and safer environment for their furry residents and staff. Through winning the #RescueMyShelter Kit, they are now able to continue to use Rescue® Veterinary Disinfectants on a daily basis, and devote financial resources to maintaining the shelter in other areas!

The #RescueMyShelter Kit includes;

1 – 30-gallon drum of Rescue® Concentrate Disinfectant

1 – Drum pump

1 – 1-gallon bottle of PeroxiWash™ Shampoo

12 – Canisters of Rescue® Ready-to-Use Wipes

Virox® Animal Health even covered the shipping costs.

The care this shelter offers is unmatched! Such loving and caring staffers that honestly have such compassion for the animals. Ensuring the safety of both animals and humans is of the utmost importance to them. The disinfectants would be a God send to them.- Vicki

The team at the Fredericksburg Regional SPCA is passionate about what they do, which is just one of many reasons that they were nominated to win the #RescueMyShelter Kit. Their staff truly loves pets and are devoted to providing safe and happy homes for the animals that come into their care.

Cleanliness and safety is of the utmost importance to any animal shelter, the #FredSPCA included. It’s important to us that we use non-irritating disinfectants that are easier on the animals and humans alike! That’s why we would LOVE to be one of the winners in the #RescueMyShelter contest from Virox Animal Health!

They use disinfectants and cleaners daily that are specific to animal enclosures with their health, as well as the health of staff and employees in mind. This disinfectant would help this shelter maintain their level of cleanliness that both staff and animals deserve.- Laurie

We are thrilled to be able to provide them with the resources they need so that they can continue to complete their fantastic work in their community! To learn more about their team, and the work that they do, click here.
